Ashok Leyland Q4 Results: Profit Jumps Nearly 40%, Revenue Up 6%
For Fiscal 2025, Ashok Leyland's net profit rose by more than a fourth to an all-time of Rs 3,303 crore, but that came on the back of nearly flat revenue growth.

Ashok Leyland Ltd. clocked nearly 40% higher net profit in the final quarter of the previous fiscal.
Standalone net profit of the truck maker rose 38.4% year-on-year to Rs 1,246 crore in three months ended March 2025, even as revenue increased 5.7% to Rs 11,907 crore, according to an exchange filing on Friday. Analysts polled by Bloomberg had estimated the top line at Rs 12,065.5 crore and a bottom line of Rs 1,100 crore.

One basis point is one-hundredth of a percentage point.
For the full year, Ashok Leyland’s net profit increased by more than a fourth to an all-time high of Rs 3,303 crore, but that came on the back of revenue that rose 1% year-on-year to Rs 38,753 crore. In the process, the company has turned net debt-free.
"The company is in a very strong cash position, ending the year with a cash surplus of Rs 4,242 crore. This gives us fuel to further augment our strengths in products and technology, and to offer best-in-class customer experience," Shenu Agarwal, chief executive officer at Ashok Leyland, said in a statement.
"We are continuing on our premiumisation journey with high focus on delivering exceptional value to our customers. We are now more confident than ever in our ability to gain market share and further improve our price realization," Agarwal said.
Separately, the Chennai-based firm has announced a 1:1 bonus share issue—a first since at least 2011, according to an exchange filing. The company has paid two interim dividends: Rs 2 per share in November 2024 and Rs 4.25 per share in May 2025.
On Friday, Ashok Leyland shares rose 0.36% to Rs 239.60 apiece on the BSE even as the benchmark Sensex ended the day 0.95% higher at 81,721.08 points.
