The number of deaths from coronavirus in Turkey jumped 28.5% to 356 on Thursday from the day before, according to data published by the government.
The number of confirmed cases rose 16% to 18,135 from 15,679 on Wednesday, according to the Health Ministry. The death toll was 277 on Wednesday.
Turkey screened 18,757 people over the past 24 hours with 2,456 of those testing positive, the ministry said.
