Climate Activists Protest at LSE, Canary Wharf in London

(Bloomberg) -- Climate activists are targeting the U.K.'s financial industry in a series of protests on Thursday.

A group of at least 7 people, who belong to a group called Extinction Rebellion, are blocking the entrance to the London Stock Exchange. At the Canary Wharf's DLR station, a set of activists climbed atop of a train with protest signs.

British Transport Police are responding to the incident as specialist units are working to remove the protesters, according to tweet.

Last week, the group planned an “action” at London's Heathrow Airport after disrupting public transport and blocking roads and bridges at the U.K. capital for about a week.
