Nifty Could Look At 22,500 As New Support
"Broadly speaking 21,500-22,500 is a strong long term support zone for Nifty. And the index could attempt a pause and revival from this zone," said Khush Bohra.
Kranthi Bathini, director of equity strategy at WealthMills Securities Pvt. also expects 22,500 to be the next support.
"Nifty 50 is now looking for support level between 22,400-2800 levels with resistance at 22,800 levels," added Rajesh Bhosale, Technical Analyst at Angel One.
Rupee Closes Flat Against US Dollar
Rupee ended flat at 86.71 against US dollar.

Stock Market At Closing
Nifty and Sensex extend decline for sixth day.
Intraday, both Nifty had fallen 1.22%, while Sensex fell 1.23%.
Nifty ends 1.06% or 242.55 points down at 22,553.35.
Sensex ends 1.14% or 856.65 points lower at 74,454.41.
Broader indices also closed lower. Nifty Midcap 100 ended 0.95% lower; Nifty Smallcap 250 closed 1.21% lower.
Most sectoral indices fell with Nifty IT and Nifty Metal falling the most. On the other hand, Nifty FMCG was the top sectoral gainer, snapping the longest ever losing run of 15 days.
Infosys, TCS, HDFC Bank and Bharti Airtel were top Nifty losers.
Mahindra & Mahindra, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ITC and Dr. Reddys were the top gainers for the day.
