IndusInd Bank
Shares of IndusInd Bank Ltd. fell over 6% on report that the lender will conduct a second audit to probe a Rs 600 crore discrepancy in accrued interest income from its microfinance portfolio. The lender has appointed EY to conduct a second forensic audit to probe the discrepancy, the Economic Times reported, quoting two people familiar with the matter.
Waaree Energies
Solar manufacturer Waaree Energies Ltd.'s shares jumped 6%, ahead of the company's expected declaration of their financial performance for the quarter ended March 31, 2025. Waaree Energies is likely to post a net profit of Rs 496.15 crore and a revenue of Rs 4,028.15 crore for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025, as per the consensus estimates of analysts tracked by Bloomberg.
Anant Raj
Share price of realty firm Anant Raj Ltd. climbed over 6% on Tuesday, after the company posted an over 50% surge in net profit to Rs 119 crore. The company witnessed growth in both revenue and Ebitda as well during the fourth quarter, alongside a significant improvement in margins.
Steel Stocks
Shares of Tata Steel Ltd., JSW Steel Ltd., Steel Authority of India Ltd. and Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. rose on Tuesday after the government imposed a 12% temporary safeguard duty on certain steel imports to protect the domestic industry from cheap products being dumped from countries like China and Vietnam.
Senco Gold
Shares of Senco Gold Ltd., Sky Gold Ltd. and Kalyan Jewellers India Ltd. rose on Tuesday as the yellow metal hit a life high amid tensions between US President Donald Trump and Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. Gold price in India rose to a fresh life high of Rs 99,170 per 10 grams as of 10:23 a.m. on April 22, according to the India Bullion Association.
