With a reduction in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders, there were hopes that the OMCs will also reduce the petrol and diesel prices in the country.
On October 31, 2022, the Indian Oil Corporation said it would cut fuel prices. However, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, the oil marketing company reversed this decision and said there would be no reduction in petrol and diesel prices. Therefore, the fuel prices in most Indian cities remain unchanged today. In the national capital, one litre of petrol will cost ₹96.72 and one litre of diesel will cost ₹89.62 today.
