Stock Market Holidays June 2025: NSE, BSE To Remain Closed For Nine Days, Check Full List

While no holiday falls on weekdays in June, stock markets will remain closed on account of regular weekend holidays.

Stock Market Holidays 2025: The stock market will remain closed for nine days in June. All of these holidays fall on the weekends. This means the markets will remain closed on five Sundays and four Saturdays.

While no holiday falls on weekdays in June, stock markets will remain closed on account of regular weekend holidays. As per the NSE holiday calendar, no holiday falls on any trading day this month. Markets will remain closed on account of Bakri Id on June 7, which falls on a Saturday. So, there is no market holiday during any weekdays in June.

The next trading holiday of the year is scheduled on August 15, which is Independence Day.

Stock Market Holidays In 2025

A total of 14 trading holidays are scheduled in 2025. The remaining holidays in the year following June are as follows:

  • Aug. 15 – Independence Day/Parsi New Year

  • Aug. 27 – Ganesh Chaturthi 

  • Oct. 2 – Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti/Dussehra 

  • Oct. 21 – Diwali Laxmi Pujan

  • Oct. 22 – Balipratipada 

  • Nov. 5 – Prakash Gurpurb Sri Guru Nanak Dev 

  • Dec. 25 – Christmas 

On Oct. 21, a special 'Muhurat Trading' session will be held on the occasion of Diwali. The stock exchanges will notify the time for special Diwali Muhurat Trading separately.

Stock Market Open and Close Timings

Trading on the equities segment happens on all days of the week (other than Saturdays and Sundays and holidays declared by the Exchange in advance). The market timings of the equities segment are given below: 

A) Pre-open session 

Order entry & modification Open: 9:00 am 

Order entry & modification Close: 9:08 am

*with random closure in the last one minute. Pre-open order matching starts immediately after close of pre-open order entry.

B) Regular trading session

Normal / Limited Physical Market Open: 9:15 am 

Normal / Limited Physical Market Close: 3:30 pm

C) Closing Session

The Closing Session is held between 3:40 pm and 4:00 pm

D) Block Deal Session Timings

Morning Window: This window shall operate between 8:45 am to 9 am

Afternoon Window: This window shall operate between 2:05 pm to 2:20 pm
