FPIs Snap 11-Day Selling Spree To Turn Net Buyers

Overseas investors turned net buyers of Indian equities on Friday after 11 days of selling. Foreign portfolio investors mopped up stocks worth Rs 1,616.8 crore, according to provisional data from the National Stock Exchange.

Domestic institutional investors stayed net buyers for the 19th day and mopped up equities worth Rs 1,556.2 crore, the NSE data showed.

Foreign institutions have been net sellers of Rs 26,020 crore worth of Indian equities so far in 2024, according to data from the National Securities Depository Ltd., updated till the previous trading day.

The Nifty ended higher by 60.95 points, or 0.27%, at 22,464.80, while the Sensex gained 253.31 points, or 0.34%, to close at 73,917.03.
