The romantic drama Do Deewane Seher Mein has entered its first Monday at the box office with modest collections, as it looks to stabilise after a slow opening weekend. According to early estimates reported by Sacnilk, the film has collected approximately Rs 4.43 crore India net in four days.
Directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Bhansali Productions and Zee Studios, the film opened at Rs 1.25 crore on Friday. It saw a 20% jump on Saturday to Rs 1.5 crore, followed by Rs 1.45 crore on Sunday. However, the overall weekend growth remained limited.
Trade observers noted that the opening day may have benefited from promotional offers in certain multiplex chains, while Day 2 saw a dip in business in some circuits even as other centres showed 40–50% growth. All eyes were, therefore, on the crucial Monday hold.
On Day 4, the film has earned around Rs 0.23 crore so far across all languages, as per early live data. The film needs to stay stable on Monday to keep its run going, especially with strong competition at the box office.
The film recorded an overall 7.04% Hindi occupancy on Monday. Morning shows saw 5.58% occupancy, which improved to 8.49% in the afternoon. Among key regions, Chennai reported the highest percentage occupancy at 16%, from just 12 shows. Pune followed with 13% across 77 shows, while Kolkata registered 10% overall, including a strong 16% in afternoon screenings.
Mumbai saw around 7% occupancy across 248 shows, while the National Capital Region recorded 6% across 328 shows. Ahmedabad stood at 8% across 201 shows, and Chandigarh reported 9.5% across 33 shows. Other centres such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Lucknow remained in the 4–8% range.
Do Deewane Seher Mein is about two different people who slowly fall in love in a busy city. One struggles with a speech problem, while the other wants to change the world with her big dreams. The film also stars Ila Arun, Joy Sengupta and Sandeepa Dhar in important roles.
Right now, the film's box office run looks a bit difficult, but it does not face any big competition for the next couple of weeks. How it performs during the weekdays will decide how long it can continue its run in theatres.
