Priyadarshan's Bhooth Bangla saw a clear drop at the box office on Day 6 after a slight rise the previous day. The horror-comedy earned around Rs 6.15 crore net in India on its first Wednesday, taking its total India net collection to Rs 78.90 crore, as per Sacnilk reports.
This is a fall of about 23.1% compared to Tuesday's Rs 8 crore, showing the usual weekday slowdown. The film was running in nearly 11,584 shows on Day 6, with overall occupancy at 13.31%, which is lower than the previous day's 20%.
Occupancy Trends
The occupancy trend on Day 6 shows that the film picked up slightly as the day went on, but the growth was limited. Morning shows started slow at 7.77%. The afternoon improved to 13.85%, followed by 14.15% in the evening. Night shows recorded the highest occupancy at 17.46%.
Even though there was some improvement during the day, the overall response remained average, leading to lower collections.
Regional Performance
Among major regions, Chennai performed the best with 22.8% occupancy, showing strong interest. Bengaluru and Mumbai followed with 17% and 16.8% occupancy. Lucknow and Jaipur saw around 16% occupancy.
The National Capital Region (NCR) recorded 12.5%, while Pune stood at 12%. On the lower side, Surat had just 7% occupancy. Hyderabad and Bhopal also remained low at 9.5% each. Overall, bigger cities performed better than smaller ones.
Overseas Collection Update
At the global level, Bhooth Bangla film collected around Rs 2 crore on Day 6, taking its total international earnings to Rs 33.5 crore. With India gross at Rs 93.87 crore, the worldwide total has now reached Rs 127.37 crore.

Day-Wise Trend So Far
Looking at the overall trend, the film started with Rs 3.75 crore from previews and then earned Rs 12.25 crore on Friday. Collections increased over the weekend with Rs 19 crore on Saturday and Rs 23 crore on Sunday. Monday saw a big drop to Rs 6.75 crore, followed by a small jump on Tuesday with Rs 8 crore, and then another drop on Wednesday.
Starring Akshay Kumar, Bhoot Bangla is still doing fairly well despite weekday drops. It will now depend on the coming weekend to pick up again and move closer to the Rs 100 crore mark in India.
