Namma Metro services on a section of the Purple Line will be temporarily affected on Sunday, April 5, due to scheduled maintenance work, a release from the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited read. The disruption will be limited to a specific stretch and time period in the morning.

The maintenance work is planned between Vijayanagar Metro Station and Attiguppe Metro Station on the Purple Line. As part of this work, train services will not operate for two hours on a key section of the route.

"To carry out essential maintenance work on April 5, there will be a temporary suspension of metro services between Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station-Majestic and Mysuru Road Metro Station," the release stated.

The disruption will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. During this period, trains will not run between Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station (Majestic) and Mysuru Road Metro Station. This section is part of the Purple Line, which connects different parts of the city through a major transit corridor.

"At the same time, services on other sections of the metro network will continue as per the regular schedule from 7:00 a.m.," the release said.

According to the release, train operations will function normally on the remaining stretches, including Challaghatta to Mysuru Road, Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station-Majestic to Whitefield (Kadugodi), Madavara to Silk Institute, and R.V. Road to Bommasandra. Services on these routes will begin at 7:00 am from their respective terminal stations and continue without changes.

"After 9:00 a.m., metro services between Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station-Majestic and Mysuru Road Metro Station will return to normal," the release added.

Passengers have been advised to plan their travel accordingly during the affected hours.
