(Bloomberg) -- Unilever's strategic review, which on Thursday led to its announcement of share buybacks, increased dividend and divestment of a business, was hotly anticipated by equity market investors. Since the Anglo-Dutch consumer giant said in February it rejected a bid by Kraft Heinz Co., its Amsterdam shares rallied almost 18 percent through Wednesday, more than double the gains in the Stoxx 600 Personal & Household Goods Index. The shares fell after the announcement.
