SBI Chairman Pratip Chaudhuri on Tuesday said he expects the RBI to the cut cash reserve ratio (CRR) by 100 basis points at the September 17 policy meet.
Chairman of India’s largest public sector lender, State Bank of India (SBI), was addressing bankers at a Ficci-IBA-organised summit in Mumbai.
The central bank is slated to meet on September 17 to review its monetary policy.
Earlier, a poll conducted by Reuters showed that economists expect the RBI to continue its hawkish stand for the fifth consecutive month and keep policy rates steady.
