Why Is Noel Tata Stepping Down As Trent Chairman?

The board added that Noel Tata had been appointed chairman emeritus from Nov 12 in recognition of his “invaluable contributions to the Company over the past 29 years”.
His retirement from the chairmanship does not mark an immediate end to his association with Trent, as he will continue in the honorary role of chairman emeritus.

In a separate decision announced after the October 29 board meeting, Trent approved the appointment of Rajiv Dube as an additional director in the non-executive, non-independent category, effective October 30, 2026. The appointment is subject to shareholder approval.
