Spotify has slashed prices for it subscription tiers along with phasing out its premium lite plan for users, according to updated information on Spotify's website. Here's the music streaming platform new pricing plans and their respective costs:
The Premium Standard pay plan now retails at Rs 139 a month, a Rs 60 reduction from Rs 199. This new price is similar to that of Spotify's Premium Lite plan, which is now no longer available. The platform's Student plan has also seen a price cut to Rs 69 from its intial price of Rs 99.

Spotify's Premium Platinum Plan will continue to retail at Rs 299.
The new pricing system is applicable to newcomers while those currently subscribed can continue using the previous subscription plans unless they choose to switch them. The company's discontinued Premium Family, Duo and Individual plans will be available only to those users who had subscribed to them before Nov. 13, 2025.
The company's premium standard plan can also be made available to users for Rs 99 for three months after which it will be billed at Rs 139 per month. The plan includes the feature to download music to listen to it offline, with up to 320 kbps of audio quality

The firm's premium platinum plan priced at Rs 299 per month. The plan also includes the feature to download music to listen to it offline. The plan has a 24-bit/44.1kHz lossless audio quality. Users can also have an AI DJ, access AI playlist creation and mix their playlists. Users can also connect their DJ software.
The premium student plan will be priced at Rs 69 per month, access to music offline, along with 320 kbps of audio quality. Users will have to undergo a verification process to verify that they are a student to access it.
