The board of Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. appointed Jeffrey Mark Overly as the chairman of the company following the demise of Sunjay Kapur.
Overly was re-appointed as the independent director of the company for a period till Feb. 11, 2031, subject to the approval from the required stakeholders in the annual general meeting of the company, according to an exchange filing on Monday.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from the University of Cincinnati and a Masters in Business from Central Michigan University.
In 2018, Overly retired from his role as operating partner in the Corporate Private Equity Group at Blackstone in New York.
Before joining Blackstone in 2008, Overly was vice president of global fixture operations at Kohler Co. Before that, he spent 25 years at General Motors and Delphi Corp.
