Indian and foreign automakers will release their sales data for the month of March 2026 on Wednesday. Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra and Eicher Motors are among the companies that are in focus. Shares could react to their sales data if it comes during trading session.
Based on the average of brokerage reports, it could be a strong finish to the financial year for two-wheelers, continued momentum in passenger vehicles, sustained demand in commercial vehicles driven by expectations of a GST rate cut, and improved tractor sales supported by early Navratri demand.
Japanese two-wheeler maker Suzuki Motorcycle on Wednesday said its total sales grew 11 per cent to 1,31,491 units in March from 1,18,364 units a year ago.
Its domestic retail sales rose 11 per cent to 1,08,661 units in the previous month from 98,176 units in March 2025, while exports contributed 22,830 units against 20,188 units, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd said.
The company also said that it concluded FY26 with its highest-ever annual sales of 14,39,415 units, registering a double-digit growth of 15 per cent over 12,56,155 units sold in FY25.

TVS Motor on Wednesday said its total sales surged 25 per cent to 5,19,358 units in March 2026 as against 4,14,687 units in the same month last year.
Domestic two-wheelers registered a growth of 25 per cent with sales increasing from 2,97,622 units in March 2025 to 3,72,383 units last month. Motorcycle sales increased 18 per cent to 2,32,788 units from 1,96,734 units in March 2025, it said.

VIDA, Hero MotoCorp’s Emerging Mobility business, continued its upward growth trajectory with highest monthly VAHAN registrations of 21,434, recording a 70% month-on month growth in sales volume as compared to the previous month. Vida dispatches recorded full year growth of 154% in FY26.
Strong performance continued in March the ICE scooter segment with robust double-digit growth of 24%, supported by a strengthened product portfolio and scale-up of the Glamour and Xtreme range of Motorcycles. Additionally, the demand sentiment improved in the rural markets aided by early festive tailwinds.

Royal Enfield has recorded its highest-ever annual sales surpassing 1.2 million units in the financial year ending March 31, 2026, and marked the second consecutive year of crossing the 1 million annual sales. Domestic sales in this financial year grew 23% to 11,07,343 units while exports rose 23% to 1,31,316 units.
The sales of Eicher Motors in the month of March 2026 rose 11% over the corresponding month (March’25) to 1,12,334 units, allowing the company to close FY26 at 12,38,659 units, up 23% from FY 2024–25. Domestic sales rose 14% to 1,00,406, while exports fell 8% to 11,928.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Wednesday reported a 24% increase in its total vehicle sales to 37,194 units in March compared to the corresponding month of last year.
Domestic sales stood at 35,125 units in March 2026, up 24% from 28,373 vehicles in March 2025, while exports were also seen growing 24% year-on-year at 2,069 against 1,670 units in the same month last year, the company said.
On a full-year basis, total sales were up 20% at 406,081 vehicles, 367,107 units in the domestic market and 38,974 vehicles in exports, in fiscal year 2026 from 337,148 vehicles sold in the financial year ended March 31, 2025, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said.

Ola Electric share ended nearly 14% higher on Wednesday after the company said it has solved most of its servicing issues. Vehicle registrations rose sharply by 150% month-on-month to 10,117 units, indicating a significant.
Other companies who announced their March sales data also ended higher for the day.

Partho Banerjee, senior executive officer for marketing and sales at Maruti Suzuki, said that FY26 should be viewed in two distinct halves. According to him, the company was the first to introduce six airbags as a standard feature in the first half of the year, while demand in the second half was significantly boosted by GST-related factors. Retail growth stood at 16.6% in the second half, broadly in line with booking growth of around 16%.
In the domestic market, Maruti Suzuki recorded its highest-ever sales of over 16 lakh units and also achieved its highest monthly sales in March in terms of both dispatches and retail. The company currently has a healthy order book of 1.9 lakh units. Banerjee added that Maruti Suzuki is now the number two player in the SUV segment and continues to lead the industry in volume terms. He also highlighted that the Dzire remained the number one car both in the calendar year and the financial year, with cumulative sales crossing 2.36 lakh units.

Hyundai Motor India achieved total Q4 sales of 2,08,275 units in the January to March 2026 period, reporting a YoY growth of 8.7%. This includes domestic Q4 sales of 1,66,578 units (8.5% YoY) – HMIL’s highest-ever quarterly tally for domestic sales since inception and Q4 export contribution of 41,697 units (9.4% YoY).

Mahindra & Mahindra reported healthy growth across key segments in March, led by strong performance in passenger vehicles and tractors.
Total passenger vehicle (PV) sales rose 25% year-on-year to 60,272 units. This was marginally below market estimates of 61,821 units. Three-wheeler sales increased sharply by 39% year-on-year to 10,801 units during the month.
Total vehicle sales climbed 21% year-on-year to 99,969 units. Exports, however, grew at a slower pace, rising 4% year-on-year to 3,968 units.
The tractor segment delivered a strong outperformance. M\&M sold 43,403 tractors in March, marking a 33% year-on-year increase and comfortably beating estimates of 41,389 units.
Overall, the robust tractor volumes and steady growth in passenger vehicles underscore sustained demand momentum for the company, despite a slight miss on PV estimates.
