Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. registered a health growth in its total sales, production in March, as per the company's monthly business update on the BSE.
Total production for the company surged to 1,02,701 units in March 2026, up by 13.2% from 90,690 units in the year-ago period. Monthly sales surged by 22.3% reaching 1,00,194 units compared to 81,880 units in the same month the previous year.
However, a slight decline was registered in exports which stood at 4,042 units in the month under review, down nearly 7% from 4,328 units in the corresponding period of last year.
The Thar and Thar Roxx (Diesel) stood out in their monthly performance, with sales climbing to 10,212 units in March 2026 from 7,375 units a year prior. Scorpio (Diesel) remained a major volume driver, contributing 14,059 units to the total sales for the month.
Sales for the Electric Origin SUV more than doubled, jumping from 3,014 units in March 2025 to 6,508 units in March 2026.
While traditional XUV700 (Diesel) sales saw a sharp decline from 5539 units last year to 26 units this year, the new XUV7XO variants (Diesel and Petrol) combined for over 9,100 units in sales for March 2026.
Steady growth was noted in the commercial segment with production rising to 31,183 units and sales reaching 29,121 unit, the regulatory filing stated.

Standalone net profit surged 33% to Rs 3,931 crore in the October-December quarter, compared to Rs 2,964 crore in the corresponding period last year. Analysts' consensus estimates compiled by Bloomberg projected Rs 3,885 crore. The company had to provision Rs 98 crore as a one-time cost due to the New Labour Codes.
