IndiGo Operates Its Inaugural Non-Stop Mumbai-London Flight
IndiGo operated the direct flight between Mumbai and Heathrow on Monday to take a step forward to build a robust international connectivity.

InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. has operated inaugural non-stop flight service between Mumbai and London, the company said in the exchange filing. The airline operated the flight from Mumbai International Airport to Heathrow and touched a milestone in its goal to build a robust global network.
IndiGo used the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft for the newly launched service. The aircraft has dual-class configuration, which helped in combining standard economy with IndiGoStretch.
The new service connected two major financial capital cities of the world — London and Mumbai. The long-standing relationship between India and UK creates a great demand not only for business travels but also for education and leisure travels, IndiGo said in the press release.
Also, the Heathrow Airport is one of the world's largest and busiest airports and it has a strategic importance for global airlines, InterGlobe Aviation said in the statement.
"This also marks a defining moment in IndiGo’s journey towards becoming a truly global airline and reaffirms our commitment to connecting India to the world through efficient, consistent, and reliable service. With this launch, we aim to make travel between India and the UK more seamless, accessible and affordable for our customers," said IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers.
Travellers from India wil lnot only get the option to fly with IndiGo to London but also beyond with the airline's code-share network. Travellers from London will get directly connected to IndiGo's vast network of over 90 destinations within India, according to the airline.
Time Table Mumbai–London Flight
The airline reached another milestone in its internationalisation journey as it announced a direct flight service between Kolkata and Guangzhou. IndiGo is the first Indian carrier to begin flight on this route.
Building on this expansion, IndiGo will also begin flights between Delhi and Guangzhou from 10 November 2025, further strengthening its presence in this important trade and travel corridor, the company said.
