New Delhi: Container Corporation of India Ltd on Wednesday reported a 21 per cent drop in net profit at Rs 206.90 crore for the quarter ended June 2015.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 261.88 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.
Total income from operations in the quarter under review increased to Rs 1,420.85 crore, from Rs 1,269.67 crore a year ago, it said in a statement.
Total expenses increased to Rs 1,223.66 crore as against Rs 1,020.54 crore in the year-ago period.
Shares in the company, on Wednesday, ended 2.26 per cent lower at Rs 1748.80 apiece on the BSE.
