'Action Jackson' has grossed Rs 42.75 crore so far at the Box Office, with its opening week collections at Rs 39 crore, according to trade website Koimoi.com. Directed by Prabhu Deva, the Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha-starrer collected Rs 9.25 crore on December 5 - its first day.
Unlike Singham Returns, Action Jackson has not been able to cross Rs 50 crore in its first week, whereas the Rohit Shetty-directed film had collected Rs 32 crore on its opening day itself, Koimoi.com says.
Action Jackson has a long way to go before it nears the collections of Ajay Devgn's previous film - Singham Returns, which recorded net collections of Rs 141 crore in India. Released on August 15, the second instalment of the Singham series grossed an estimated Rs 112 crore in its opening week, according to the trade website.
