US-Iran War News Updates: Trump Warns Tehran Against Attacking US Ships In Hormuz

Hezbollah has claimed to target Israeli soldiers in the coastal region of Biyyada, while striking Al-Qaouzah town, Al Jazeera reported.

An Iranian official has blamed the fire incident in Fujairah on "US adventurism" and said that the attack was not planned.

“The Islamic Republic had no pre‑planned programme to attack the mentioned oil facilities, and what happened was the result of US military adventurism aimed at creating a passage for the illegal transit of ships through the restricted waterways of the Strait of Hormuz,” Al Jazeera reported citing the official statement to IRIB news agency.

The United Arab Emirates claimed to have intercepted a number of missiles from Iran as fire broke out at a petroleum facility in Fujairah, Al Jazeera reported citing UAE's foreign ministry.

Iranian speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has blamed US and its allies who have "jeopardised" the security and energy supplies in the Strait of Hormuz after violating the ceasefire.

The security of shipping and energy transit has been jeopardised by the United States and its allies through the violation of the ceasefire and the imposition of a blockade; of course, their evil will diminish. We know full well that the continuation of the status quo is intolerable for America; while we have not even begun yet."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has criticised the attack in UAE's Fujairah, which injured three Indian nationals. In a post on X, he said, "Strongly condemn the attacks on the UAE that resulted in injuries to three Indian nationals. Targeting civilians and infrastructure is unacceptable."

PM Modi added, "India stands in firm solidarity with the UAE and reiterates its support for the peaceful resolution of all issues through dialogue and diplomacy. Ensuring safe and unimpeded navigation through the Strait of Hormuz is vital for enduring regional peace, stability and global energy security."

It is expected that China will benefit greatly with US and Iran conflict continues, without any resolution, while Beijing is focused on "playing the long game," Al Jazeera reported citing former CIA analyst John Nixon.

According to Iranian media, fire broke out in several commercial ships in a dock at Dayyer located in Southern port of Iran. The cause of the incident remains unknown so far.

The Ministry of External Affairs in a statement said, "The attack on Fujairah that resulted in injury to three Indian nationals is unacceptable. We call for immediate cessation of these hostilities and the targeting of civilian infrastructure and innocent civilians. India continues to stand for dialogue and diplomacy to deal with the situation, so that peace and stability may be restored across West Asia. We also call for free and unimpeded navigation and commerce through the Strait of Hormuz in keeping with international law. India stands ready to support all efforts for a peaceful resolution of issues."

Oil prices surge following renewed tensions between US and Iran over the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude rose nearly 6% trading at around $114 a barrel.

South Korean foreign ministry said that the reason for fire on its vessel in the Strait of Hormuz will be known after the ship is brought to the port.

“The exact cause of the accident would be figured out after the vessel is towed and its damage is assessed,” the Reuters news agency quoted the ministry as saying.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) in a post on X said, "U.S. Air Force F-16 fighter aircraft are among more than 100 land and sea-based aircraft supporting Project Freedom. During the defensive operation, these advanced warfighting platforms are helping to protect U.S. forces and defend commercial shipping."

Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi warned both the US and the UAE against being dragged into deeper conflict by what he called "ill-wishers."

In a post on X, Araghchi said, "Events in Hormuz make clear that there's no military solution to a political crisis."

He added, "As talks are making progress with Pakistan's gracious effort, the U.S. should be wary of being dragged back into quagmire by ill-wishers. So should the UAE."

US has killed five civilians following the alleged attack on six Iranian small boat in the Strait of Hormuz, Al Jazeera reported citing state media
