Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin a two-day visit to Israel on Feb. 25, marking his second trip to the country. PM Modi last visited Israel in 2017, becoming the first-ever Indian prime minister to visit the country.
During the visit, PM Modi will hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to review progress under the India-Israel Strategic Partnership. He is also scheduled to call on President Isaac Herzog. As per reports, PM Modi is also expected to address the Knesset (Israel's parliament).
Defence and security cooperation are expected to feature prominently in the discussions. Both sides are likely to assess ongoing projects and explore avenues for deeper collaboration.

Economic engagement will also reportedly be high on the agenda. During Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal's visit to Israel in November 2025, the terms of reference for launching negotiations on a free trade agreement were signed. In September 2025, the two countries concluded a bilateral investment agreement aimed at expanding economic ties. Further cooperation is expected to be discussed across sectors such as science and technology, innovation, agriculture, water management, trade and people-to-people exchanges, according to the Ministry of External Affairs.
The leaders are also set to exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest, including the situation in Gaza and wider tensions in West Asia.
Netanyahu is expected to host a private dinner for PM Modi. The itinerary reportedly includes an innovation event in Jerusalem and a joint visit to Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center.
