At least 300 children have been killed in Gaza in the 300 days since the October 2025 ceasefire, according to UNICEF.

The UN children's agency said the figure means one child has been killed every day on average since the ceasefire began.

"The current situation is failing children," UNICEF Middle East and North Africa Regional Director Edouard Beigbeder said in a statement.

According to Al-Jazeera, UNICEF in a statement said that the children across Gaza continue to live in unsafe and unsanitary shelters while also facing acute malnutrition and the spread of disease.

The agency said children remain among the worst affected by the humanitarian crisis and reiterated its call for better protection of civilians and continued humanitarian assistance.
