Legends Tower: Oklahoma City Set To Get America's Tallest Building; Details Here

Oklahoma City Council recently approved the construction of Legends Tower, a super tall skyscraper poised to become the tallest building in the United States upon completion.

Legends Tower Height

The floor count for Legends Tower is 126 stories. It will consist of four towers, the largest of which is 1,907 feet (581 metres), to honour the year Oklahoma became the USA's 46th state. This height was made possible after the council voted to remove previous height restrictions and grant the development team's request for an "unlimited building height."

Legends Tower is slated to surpass the current titleholder, One World Trade Center, in New York City, by 131 feet.

Legends Tower Amenities

The tower will be located on the site of a parking lot near a railroad track and a U-Haul storage facility. The tower offers a mix of residential units, office space, and high-end amenities like a restaurant, and bar, and an observation deck that will give a view of the city.

The design details are still under wraps, but California-based architecture firm AO is expected to create a modern and iconic structure that will become a landmark for Oklahoma City. According to AO's website, "This project marks the region's bold leap into the future."

Legends Tower Cost

Legends Tower is part of the Boardwalk at Bricktown development led by Matteson Capital. The entire project includes Legends Tower and three other smaller towers and has a total estimated budget of USD 1.5 billion.

Legends Tower Completion Date

Construction on the Legends Tower is expected to begin in 2026 and get completed in around three years. Construction of the three smaller towers will begin in 2024 and will be completed in 2026.
