Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, on Friday, blamed the US for derailing the peace process following more exchange of fire between the two sides in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran has stated that it was considering a peace proposal from the United States that aims to stop the conflict, but fighting seems to have resumed on Thursday night as the US struck Bandar Abbas and Qeshm near the Strait of Hormuz.

Abbas, while blaming US for derailing the Peace process, said on X: "Every time a diplomatic solution is on the table, the U.S. opts for a reckless military adventure. Is it a crude pressure tactic? Or the result of a spoiler once again duping POTUS into another quagmire?"
In a detailed official statement, Abbass stated, "Whatever the causes, the outcome is the same: Iranians never bow to pressure and diplomacy is always the victim."
"Also, the CIA is wrong. Our missile inventory and launcher capacity are not at 75% compared to Feb 28. The correct figure is 120%," he added.
"As for our readiness to defend our people: 1,000%," the post further read.

While mentioning the capabilities of the Iranian regime, Abbas claimed that the assessment by US Intelligence agencies has always been soberer than the reality.
"The analysis by the U.S. intelligence community, whose secret assessments on Iran have often been more sober than the administration's public statements, also found that Tehran retains significant ballistic missile capabilities despite weeks of intense U.S. and Israeli bombardment, three of the people familiar with it said," the post read.

"Iran retains about 75 per cent of its prewar inventories and about 70 per cent of its prewar stockpiles of missiles, a U.S. official said. The official said there is evidence that the regime has been able to recover and reopen almost all of its storage facilities, repair some damaged missiles that were nearly complete when the war began," the post further read.
Thursday night strikes specifically hit Qeshm Port and military facilities in Bandar Abbas. Additional reports indicated a strike on the Bandar Kargan naval checkpoint in Minab.
