Iran's Parliament Committee on Energy has said that the country's oil production, as well as exports from the Kharg Island, were going on uninterrupted days after the United States struck military targets on the island.
A report on Reuters quoted a spokesperson of the Committee on Energy, without naming them. The spokesperson has said that life was continuing "as normal" on the Island, while warning the US of any further military action.
"If the enemies set their sights on Kharg Island, they should know that a humiliation even greater than what they faced in the Strait of Hormuz awaits them," the spokesperson has told the semi-state news agency, Tasnim, in Tehran.

He said that the oil workers on the Island have been working around the clock to ensure there is "no interruption in oil exports." Kharg Island is Iran's main oil export hub as 90% of the country's oil is exported from this island.
The United States carried out strikes on the Island on March 13, targeting as many as 90 "military assets". US President Donald Trump, however, warned Iran that oil infrastructure will be targeted if Iran continues attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
"Should Iran, or anyone else, do anything to interfere with the free and safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will immediately reconsider the decision (of not targeting oil infrastructure)," Trump had posted on social media soon after the Kharg attack.
On Saturday, he said that the United States might hit Kharg Island a few more times "just for fun", drawing ire from Iran.

On Monday, Trump reiterated that the US destroyed everything on the island except the oil pipes. "We left the pipes. We did not want to do that, but we could do that on five minutes' notice," he said in a presser, adding that they left the pipes for "someday rebuilding Iran."
Iran has been defiant, though, with the continuous closure of the Strait of Hormuz. The closure has sent oil prices soaring in the past couple of weeks.
