Cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar has invited President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to his son, Arjun's wedding. The legend of Indian cricket posted several invites on X and Instagram. Arjun is to wed Saaniya Chandhok, who is the granddaughter of industrialist Ravi Ghai.
Sachin, who is the record run-scorer in both Tests and ODIs, was accompanied by Arjun, wife Anjali and daughter Sara along with Saaniya Chandhok's family in a series of posts. In his first post, the batting legend said, "We were honoured to invite Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji to Arjun and Saaniya's wedding. Thank you, Modi ji, for your blessings and thoughtful advice for the young couple." [sic]
He then invited Amit Shah saying, "We cordially invited Hon'ble Home Minister Shri @AmitShah ji to Arjun and Saaniya's wedding. Thank you for the warmth extended to our family, we deeply appreciate your kind wishes." [sic]

Who Is Saaniya Chandhok?
Hailing from a prominent business family, Saaniya Chandhok is the granddaughter of the Graviss Group's chairman - the conglomerate that owns ice cream brands like The Brooklyn Creamery and Baskin-Robbins. As per Ministry of Corporate Affairs records, she is presently a Designated Partner and Director at Mumbai-based Mr Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP.
She holds a degree in Business Management from the London School of Economics and completed a Veterinary Technician diploma from Worldwide Veterinary Service in 2024, according to Live Mint.
Arjun followed his father's footsteps to become a cricketer. Unlike his father, he is a left-arm medium-fast bowler and lower-order batter. He plays for Goa in the Ranji Trophy and will play for the Lucknow Super Giants in the 2026 Indian Premier League season.
He played for Mumbai Indians in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons taking three wickets in five matches. He only faced nine balls and scored 13 runs across those matches. Arjun did score a century on his Ranji Trophy debut against Rajasthan in December 2022.
