IIFA Awards 2025 Full List Of Winners: Kiran Rao's Laapataa Ladies Dominates With 10 Awards

Director Kiran Rao's critically acclaimed 'Laapataa Ladies' bagged as many as ten awards at the Silver Jubilee edition of the IIFA Awards 2025. The film dominated several popular categories, including 'Best Actress in a Leading Role (Female)', awarded to Nitanshi Goel, and 'Best Story (Original) in the Popular Category’, won by Biplab Goswami.

The event, held in Rajasthan’s Jaipur on Sunday, also saw Kartik Aaryan receiving the Best Actor award for horror-comedy 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3'.

'Kill', produced by Karan Johar, also won in multiple categories. 

Released in 2023, Laapataa Ladies focuses on the lives of two new brides who go through a roller coaster ride through the film after inadvertently getting exchanged. The movie got Kiran Rao 'Best Direction' award, while the female co-lead Pratibha Ranta bagged the 'Best Debut (Female)' category. Actor-politician Ravi Kishan also won 'Best Performance in a Supporting Role (Male)' for the same film.

Nikhil Nagesh Bhat's acclaimed direction Kill also bagged popular categories such as 'Best Performance in a Negative Role', awarded to Raghav Juyal. Lakshya Lalwani won the award for 'Best Debut (Male)' for his performance in Kill.

Kunal Kemmu won the award for 'Best Directorial Debut' for 2024's Madgaon Express at the IIFA Awards 2025. The dark-comedy film, which revolves around a Goa trip, deeply resonated with the young audience.
