Ahead of Apple's 'Special Experience' event on March 4, there is speculation that the company may launch the iPhone 17e. The Cupertino-based tech firm's CEO, Tim Cook, confirmed in a social media post last week that Apple has something big planned for the next few days.
“A big week ahead. It all starts Monday morning,” the post read. There was little given about what Apple's upcoming announcements would entail.

iPhone 17e: Expected Specs And Upgrades
As per MacRumors, the smartphone will get some useful upgrades. The iPhone 17e is expected to feature a Dynamic Island instead of a notch to house the front-facing camera and the TrueDepth camera system.
The upcoming model is also rumored to get a magnetic ring for MagSafe charging. The iPhone 17e will use the A19 chip, the same chip present in the iPhone 17. Built on an upgraded N3P 3-nanometer process, the chips offer a 5 to 10% performance improvement over the A18 chipset.
The iPhone 17e will have Apple's C1X modem, which first debuted in the iPhone Air. The C1X modem is faster and more efficient compared to the C1 modem used in the iPhone 16e.
In terms of display, the phone will feature a 6.1-inch screen with a 60Hz refresh rate, the same as the iPhone 16e. The device will have a single 48-megapixel Wide Angle camera at the back. There is no indication that a Camera Control button would be on offer. The iPhone 17 models have an 18-megapixel Center Stage front-facing camera, but reports suggest the iPhone 17e will continue to have a 12-megapixel front-facing camera like the 16e.
Apple may update the iPhone 17 models with their Wi-Fi and Bluetooth "N1" networking chip, offering speed and efficiency and Thread support. Leaks indicate that the iPhone 17e is among the models to feature this upgrade.

In India, the iPhone 17e's price may begin at Rs 59,900 for the 128 GB version, which is what the iPhone 16e is currently priced at.
