The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond managed to stay above the Rs 1 crore mark on its first Monday, taking its four-day India net collection to around Rs 11.2 crore, according to live estimates from Sacnilk. The film had earned Rs 10.15 crore over its opening weekend and added approximately Rs 1.05 crore on Day 4, showing better-than-expected weekday hold compared to earlier trends. The numbers are based on real-time data and may see minor revisions once final figures are reported.

Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and produced by Sunshine Pictures, the sequel had a delayed start on its release day after the Kerala High Court lifted the stay order only in the evening, allowing shows to begin late on Friday. It opened to Rs 0.75 crore but witnessed a sharp jump on Saturday, collecting Rs 4.65 crore — a growth of over 520%. Sunday remained steady with Rs 4.75 crore, pushing the film past the Rs 10 crore mark in its first three days.

On Day 4, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 7.47%. Morning shows registered 6.29 per cent occupancy, which improved to 8.65% in the afternoon, while evening and night show data was still awaited at the time of reporting.

Among key markets, Mumbai and Pune reported the highest overall occupancy at 9%, with afternoon shows touching 11% in both cities. Jaipur also saw 9% occupancy. Bengaluru followed with 8.5%, while Ahmedabad recorded 7.5%. The National Capital Region and Hyderabad stood at 7% each.

Chennai showed a notable 14% occupancy in the afternoon despite a limited number of shows. Kolkata and Chandigarh remained on the lower side at 4.5% and 4% respectively, while Surat posted 5 per cent. Bhopal and Lucknow hovered around the 6–6.5% range.

The film's performance is being closely compared to its 2023 predecessor, which had opened at Rs 8.03 crore and surged to Rs 16.4 crore on its first Sunday before going on to emerge as a Rs 300-crore global blockbuster. Mounted on a reported budget of Rs 28 crore, the sequel's worldwide gross currently stands at around Rs 12.3 crore, with the domestic market contributing the bulk of the earnings.

Featuring Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, Aishwarya Ojha, Sumit Gahlawat and Arjan Singh Aujla, the film expands its narrative to multiple characters and locations while continuing to remain in public discourse due to its subject.

With the crucial weekday trend now underway, its box office trajectory over the next few days will determine whether it can sustain momentum beyond the opening weekend.
