Apple iPhone 17 Price In India, Models, Display, Camera, And Launch Date

It is weird, but it seems like the iPhone 16 series debuted only yesterday. The launch was held way back in Sep. 2024. The feeling is more so because the much-hyped Apple Intelligence features—upon which iPhone 16 was pitched—are still pouring in slowly, but steadily with a hiccup here and there.

Nevertheless, that hasn’t stopped the grapevine around the iPhone 17, which is still months away from its launch date, from working overtime. There have been rumoured features, claims, leaks and speculations abound, so it’s time to put it all together and see what we know so far about the iPhone 17 lineup.

To start off, first a clarification: neither the models in the iPhone 17 series nor their prices have been confirmed by official sources. Apple is notoriously secretive about all aspects of its gadgets. Having said that, trends and analysts are sources of great information about what is likely to happen.

Figuring from there, iPhone 17 price range in India could well remain comparable to that of the iPhone 16 lineup. Four models—the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the iPhone 17 Air (or iPhone 17 Slim)—are anticipated to be part of the lineup, with the iPhone 17 Plus reportedly out of the picture.

Apple is reportedly adopting a new glass-and-metal splicing material technique, so iPhone 17 models may have a seamless transition between the device's edges and back cover. It could also employ ProMotion technology to boost graphics with a 120Hz refresh rate, plus offer an enhanced anti-reflective coating and protection against glare and scratches.

The camera on the iPhone 17 series looks to be a major draw. Apple is reportedly working on a 24MP front camera featuring a cutting-edge six-element lens that will improve low-light performance and produce crisper selfies. A 48MP single lens rear camera is additionally in the pipeline, and even the existing 12MP telephoto shooter could be replaced with a 48MP one in the Pro Max model.

Additionally, the iPhone's rear camera could be moved from the top left corner to the middle. An alleged component leak shows a “large, centred camera bump” on the device's back.

Apple’s in-house modem chip is likely to find its way to the iPhone 17. The Dynamic Island could be of the same size, and there may be a single speaker instead of two in the current iPhones. And for those who like their smartphones to last really long, an improved battery pack can be expected.
