Anthropic To Offer Claude AI Products For Just $1 To Major Branches Of US Government
Anthropic will be offering two variants, namely, Claude for Enterprise and Claude for Government for $1

Anthropic announced on Tuesday that will be offering its AI model Claude to all three major branches of the US government.
The firm will be offering two variants, namely, Claude for Enterprise and Claude for Government for $1, according to a blog post from the company.
"By removing cost barriers, we're enabling the government to access the same advanced AI that's already proving its value in the private sector," the company said.
Their package will be available to the federal civilian executive branch agencies, as well as legislative and judiciary branches of government for one month.
Claude for Government is intended to support Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program workloads and help federal workers with sensitive unclassified work.
The firm reported that Claude was certified for 'FedRAMP High' – a strict regulation that certifies handling unclassified sensitive government data.
Claude for Enterprise is meant to provide agencies with access to its 'frontier models' with live updates as and when new capabilities are launched.
This move is due to the US government’s central purchasing branch –General Services Administration including OpenAI, Google and Anthropic to its list of approved artificial intelligence vendors.
This introduced new opportunities to these tech giants to offer their AI products to various branches of US government.
Open AI also offered ChatGPT variants to the US government for the same price of $1.
Anthropic will also be providing technical support to the US government with regards to their offerings.
"Through partnerships with AWS, Google Cloud, and Palantir, agencies can access Claude through their existing secure infrastructure while maintaining complete control over their data," the blog post said.
Claude has also been engaged by the US government for previous programmes, which includes the Department of Defense inking an agreement with a $200 million ceiling with the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office to use the AI for US national security enhancement.
The District of Columbia Department of Health used Claude to aid residents in accessing health services in multiple languages.
The AI was also used by 10,000 scientists at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory to aid in making scientific discoveries.
