Royal Challengers Bengaluru have an opportunity to climb to the summit of the IPL 2026 points table when they host Lucknow Super Giants at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday, April 15.
RCB currently sit third but a win tonight would take them to the top, courtesy a much stronger net run rate than any other team in the league, highlighting their strong start to the season built around a high-scoring batting unit.
Lucknow Super Giants, meanwhile, are seventh and in need of momentum. After two wins and two defeats, Rishabh Pant's side need the two points to push them into the playoff spots and move out of the bottom half of the table.
The defending champions come into this game on the back of a dominant win over Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. Phil Salt (78 off 36), Rajat Patidar (53 off 20) and Virat Kohli (50 off 38) fired RCB to 240/4, setting the stage for an 18-run victory.

LSG, meanwhile, are coming off a home defeat to Gujarat Titans where they only managed to post 164/8 which the Titans chased down with ease on the back of half-centuries from Jos Buttler (60) and Shubman Gill (56).
Bengaluru Weather Forecast
Conditions in Bengaluru are expected to remain favourable for a full match, with no major interruptions predicted according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
At the scheduled 7:30 PM start, temperatures will hover between 31°C and 33°C before easing slightly later in the evening. Humidity is projected at around 22%, offering relatively comfortable playing conditions compared to coastal venues.
Despite scattered reports of pre-monsoon activity in the region, the forecast for central Bengaluru remains clear, with rain probability close to zero, minimising any likelihood of DLS interruptions.
CSK Heap Further Misery On KKR
On Tuesday, Chennai Super Kings extended Kolkata Knight Riders' difficult start to the season with a 32-run win at Chepauk.
CSK posted 192/5, built around contributions from Sanju Samson (48), Dewald Brevis (41) and Ayush Mhatre's quickfire 38 off 17 balls. In response, KKR managed just 160/7, with Ramandeep Singh (35) and Rovman Powell (31*) offering some resistance.
The result leaves KKR winless after five matches, while CSK build momentum after a slow start with back-to-back victories.
