Suryakumar Yadav - The MI captain arrives on the back of his most consistent IPL season, scoring 717 runs in 2025 at a strike rate of 167.91. His ability to access unconventional scoring areas makes him central to MI's plans against KKR's spin-heavy attack. Even during a relatively quiet T20 World Cup, Suryakumar produced an unbeaten 84* against the USA at this venue, underlining his ability to dominate at ‘home'.

Jasprit Bumrah - In conditions expected to favour batting, Jasprit Bumrah remains MI's primary tool to exercise control. He picked up 18 wickets in the 2025 season at an economy rate of 6.67 and continues to operate as one of the most effective death bowlers in the league. He also arrives in strong form, having taken 14 wickets in eight matches during India's recent T20 World Cup campaign, including a ‘Player of the Match' performance in the final. His role in the final overs against KKR's finishers could be decisive in shaping the result.
Kolkata Knight Riders
Sunil Narine - Narine's matchup against Rohit Sharma remains one of the most exciting battles to watch out for in this game. The off-spinner has dismissed Rohit eight times, more than any other bowler in the competition. Against MI overall, he maintains a tight economy rate of 6.73, having taken 31 wickets in 26 matches against the five-time champions. A one-franchise player since 2012, Narine also remains one of the league's most consistent wicket-takers, with 192 scalps from 189 matches, standing third on the all-time wicket-takers list. Cameron Green - The Aussie all-rounder enters the season with all eyes on him as the most expensive overseas signing in IPL history (Rs 25.20 crore). Across two IPL seasons, he has delivered 707 runs and 16 wickets, underlining his all-round value. This game could be the perfect launching pad for Green who returns to the Wankhede, his former home ground, where he scored an unbeaten 100* off 47 balls during his debut season in the IPL for MI. Rinku Singh - Rinku Singh has established himself as one of the most reliable finishers in the IPL. He averages 54.5 in successful run chases and struck at 152.8 against pace during the 2025 season. He remains the only batter to hit five sixes in the final over of a T20 chase, a marker of his finishing credentials.
