HDFC Bank is revising reward structures, travel privileges and lounge access norms for its Regalia Gold and Diners Privilege offerings. The bulk of the changes will apply from May 15, 2026, followed by further lounge-related updates from July 1, 2026.

Regalia Gold users will see a dip in reward earnings from May 15, as HDFC Bank revises its base points structure for standard spending.

The new framework offers five points per Rs 200 of spending, compared with the previous four points for every Rs 150. While this may look like an increase, the overall value earned per rupee has been reduced. Enhanced rewards in certain categories will continue as before.

The lender is set to increase its Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) fee to 1.75% for international spends processed in Indian rupees, including transactions conducted overseas or with foreign vendors invoicing in rupees. A fee of Rs 199 will apply for reissuing cards that are lost, stolen or damaged.

Cardholders of Regalia Gold and Diners Privilege will face revised terms from July 1, with complimentary domestic lounge access no longer available on an unrestricted basis.

Regalia Gold users will be required to spend Rs 60,000 in the previous quarter to qualify for their existing three domestic lounge visits per quarter. Access will still be provided through direct card usage at lounges, dispensing with vouchers. Overseas lounge access, offering six visits a year via Priority Pass, will continue as before without any minimum spend requirement.

Lounge privileges for Diners Privilege customers will be contingent on a Rs 60,000 spend each quarter. Once achieved, cardholders will be granted three access vouchers, including two for domestic lounges and one for international travel.

Access vouchers will need to be created on the SmartBuy platform and shown in QR code format at eligible lounges. Cardholders who do not meet the spending requirement will not receive any vouchers.

Among the benefits on offer are free spa sessions, buffet meals at affiliated hotels, airport rides via Uber worth up to Rs 750 per journey, and room upgrades at participating hotels.
