Vishal Mega Mart Share Price At Near Three-Month High After Q4 Results

The shares of Vishal Mega Mart Ltd. on Wednesday rose nearly 7% to hit a nearly three-month high after it reported a jump in net profit in the fourth quarter of financial year 2025.

The retail chain's net profit for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024-25 surged by 88% to Rs 115.11 crore, according to the company's exchange filing on Tuesday. In comparison, in the similar year-ago period, the company had reported a profit of Rs 61.22 crore.

Revenue for the quarter under review expanded by 23% to Rs 2,547.89 crore. The company has earned Rs 2,068.93 crore as revenue in Q4 FY24.

The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose by 42.5% to Rs 357 crore in the March quarter, while it was at Rs 250.5 crore in the previous fiscal's similar period. Ebitda margin expanded to 14% from 12% in the same period.

The company's net profit for financial year 2024-25 increased by 36.8% to Rs 631.97 crore, while revenue from operations for the full fiscal rose by 20.2% to Rs 10,716.35 crore.

Vishal Mega Mart share price rose as much as 6.58% to Rs 114.80 apiece, the highest level since Feb. 7. It pared gains to trade 5% higher at Rs 113.09 apiece, as of 9:39 a.m. This compares to a 0.12% advance in the NSE Nifty 50 Index.

It has risen 6.56% year-to-date and 0.96% since its listing. Total traded volume so far in the day stood at 12 times its 30-day average. The relative strength index was at 61.

Out of nine analysts tracking the company, seven maintain a 'buy' rating, one recommends a 'hold', and one suggests 'sell', according to Bloomberg data. The average 12-month consensus price target implies an upside of 11.4%.
