- Board of directors approved the updated MTN (medium-term note) programme to $6 billion from $4 billion to raise debt from the international market
- Debt to be raised to part finance the capital expenditure on new or ongoing projects, coal mining projects, renovation and modernisation of power stations
- Board of directors also approved the proposal to issue rupee denominated bonds of up to Rs 5,000 crore
