Stock Market Live: Gold, Silver Rise, Bullions Show Higher Local Rates
Gold and silver prices rose on Wednesday after the sharp fall over the past two days. Silver increased to Rs 2.67 lakh per kg, while gold rose to Rs 1.53 lakh per 10 grams.
In early Wednesday trade, gold held near $4,950 an ounce after it recovered part of its earlier decline. The metal built on a rise of more than 6% in the previous session. By Tuesday’s close, gold still sat about 12% below the Jan. 29 record, but remained nearly 15% higher for the year. Silver also steadied.

REC and PFC shares are in focus after a clarification on reports of a merger between the two lenders.
The company said the merger news is not based on details available with it. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced restructuring of the lenders on Sunday.
New York-listed shares of Infosys Ltd. and Wipro Ltd. fell more than 5% after Anthropic released an AI automation tool that investors worry could cut into their core businesses.
Anthropic added a legal tool to its website and said it can automate work such as contract review and legal briefings. The website said, “All outputs should be reviewed by licensed attorneys.”
Stock Market Live: Oil Rises After US Downs Iranian Drone Near Carrier
Crude prices rose on Wednesday after the United States shot down an Iranian drone near a US aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea. President Donald Trump said diplomatic channels remain open, and the White House said US-Iran talks are still scheduled for Friday, as per reports.
Brent rose nearly 1.6% to $67.33 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate moved towards $64. Brent is up nearly 11% month to date amid Middle East tensions.
