Stock Market Today: Sensex, Nifty End Week On A High Note; FPIs Stay Net Sellers

The S&P BSE Sensex closed up 364 points, or 0.55%, at 65,995.63 while the NSE Nifty 50 was 108 points or 0.55% higher at 19,653.50.

The broader market indices were trading higher; the S&P BSE MidCap Index was up 0.36%, whereas S&P BSE SmallCap Index was also 0.33% higher.

Seventeen out of the 20 sectors compiled by BSE advanced, while three declined. S&P BSE Realty, S&P BSE Information Technology gained the most.

The market breadth was skewed in the favour of the buyers. About 2,142 stocks rose, 1,319 declined, while 158 remained unchanged on the BSE.

The broader market indices opened higher; the S&P BSE MidCap Index was up 0.38%, whereas S&P BSE SmallCap Index was also 0.27% higher.

Eighteen out of the 20 sectors compiled by BSE advanced, while two declined. S&P BSE Metal, S&P BSE Realty gained the most.

The market breadth was skewed in the favour of the buyers. About 1,734 stocks rose, 729 declined, while 100 remained unchanged on the BSE.
