Stock Market At Close: Nifty Reclaims 26,000, Broader Markets Outperform As PSU Banks Lead Gains
Stock market closed higher for the sixth straight session with Nifty reclaiming the 26,000 mark, though benchmarks underperformed broader indices.
Nifty Midcap 150 and Smallcap 250 rose for the second day, led by MRPL, HUDCO, Narayana Hrudayalaya, and Equitas SFB.
PSU Bank index emerged as the top sectoral gainer, driven by Indian Overseas Bank and Bank of Maharashtra, while all sectoral indices ended in the green.
