Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd. shares jumped nearly 14% during early trade on Monday after the company said it has emerged as the top bidder in a tender of Coal India Ltd. worth Rs 3,490 crore. The project is a turn-key engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package for development of a 875 MW (AC) grid connected Solar PV Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, according to a stock exchange filing.
The company also received an order for a 50 MW AC project in Maharashtra from a leading domestic private power producer. With these new order wins, the total value of EPC order inflow in FY26 has exceeded Rs 10,062 crore, the filing said.
Global CEO Chandra Kishore Thakur said the order inflows is significantly higher than the management's initial target set for the year.
SWREL provides EPC services for utility-scale solar, floating solar, hybrid and energy storage and wind solutions and has a total portfolio of over 26.1 GWp. It also manages an operation and maintenance (O&M) portfolio of 10.1 GWp solar power projects, including for projects constructed by third parties.

Sterling And Wilson Share Price Movement

Shares of Sterling And Wilson rose as much as 14.5% to Rs 222 on the NSE, compared to a 0.3% advance in the benchmark Nifty 50. The stock is down 25% is the last 12 months and 2% higher year-to-date.
All three analysts tracking the company have a 'buy' fating on the stock, according to Bloomberg data. The average of 12-month analyst price target of Rs 347 implies an upside potential of 56% over the previous close.
