Systematix Research Report

Scheduled commercial bank's non-food credit (calculated) growth was at 8.5% YoY versus 8.7% in January 2022 / 6.6% in February 2021 to Rs 108.6 trillion in Feb-22.

On an incremental basis, the non-food credit expanded by 2.8% versus 2.2% in Jan-22 / 3.0% on month-on-month basis in Feb-21.

Each of the sectors contributed to credit expansion with agriculture / industrial / retail / services segments growth at 10.4% / 6.5% / 12.3% / 5.6% respectively.

During Feb-22, incremental growth was largely contributed by retail segment at 43%, while agri / industrial / services segment contributed 6% / 30% / 21% respectively to the overall credit.

During Fiscal Year to Date FYTD22, net addition to credit book was at Rs 8.5 trillion versus Rs 5.23 trillion in FYTD21.
