IDBI Capital Report

Credit growth slightly lower in February month; it stood at 8.0% YoY as compared to 8.3% YoY in January. Slowdown in the Feb-22 was due to services and personal credit.

Service credit witnessed downtrend to 5.6% YoY (7.3% YoY in Jan-22). Industry portfolio growth remains stable in February month at 6.5% YoY (6.4% YoY in Jan-22).

Overall, the credit growth slowed down due to lower growth in agriculture sector, housing finance companies, wholesale trade, public financial institutions.

Deposit growth saw uptick of 24 basis points on fortnight basis and growth stood at 8.84% (March 11, 2022) versus 8.6% (Feb 25, 2022).
