Mukesh Ambani remained the richest Indian for the tenth straight year.
The owner of Reliance Industries Ltd. has a net worth of Rs 7.18 lakh crore, according to IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2021.
He's followed by Gautam Adani and family with wealth worth Rs 5.06 lakh crore. He also became Asia's second richest for the first time.
With 255 individuals, Mumbai topped the rich list, followed by New Delhi and Bengaluru.
This is the tenth annual ranking of the richest individuals in India. Cumulative wealth of the individuals rose 51% this year, while average wealth increased 25%, the report said.
