Guidelines

Dress Code Under Strict Watch

The NTA has advised candidates to wear light clothes with half sleeves. Slippers or sandals with low heels are permitted, while shoes are discouraged. Those wearing customary or religious attire must declare it during registration and report early for proper checking. Non-compliance may lead to delays or denial of entry.

Permissible Items

Only essential items are allowed inside the exam hall. These include the admit card, valid photo ID, passport-size photograph, and a transparent water bottle. A PwD certificate, if applicable, must also be carried.

Biometric Verification Mandatory

Biometric verification will be conducted before entry into the examination hall. Candidates are advised to ensure their Aadhaar biometric details are updated for smooth verification. In case of failure due to technical or genuine issues, candidates will still be allowed to appear after submitting an undertaking.

Strictly Prohibited Items

The notice strictly bans all electronic and communication devices, including mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, smartwatches, fitness bands, calculators, and cameras. Bags, study materials, and personal belongings are also prohibited. Carrying any restricted item may lead to disqualification, reinforcing the exam's zero-tolerance policy.

For assistance, candidates can contact the NTA helpline at 011-40759000 or email neet@nta.ac.in.

Massive Participation and Scale

NEET will be held across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad, covering over 5,432 centres this year. Approximately 22.79 lakh candidates have registered, making it one of the largest entrance examinations globally. To ensure smooth conduct, more than 2 lakh personnel have been deployed.
