MHADA's Mumbai Board has unveiled a lottery for the allocation of 2,640 residences in the Mumbai region. The application phase starts today, March 30.
The process for registering online applications and completing the form commenced at 3:00 pm on Monday, following a formal opening ceremony conducted by MHADA's vice president and CEO Sanjeev Jaiswal.
The official announcement has been published on the MHADA website https://housing.mhada.gov.in. A detailed information booklet regarding the lottery process will be available there.
Applicants who have registered could also apply online.
Allocation Of Flats
145 units are designated for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 858 units for the Lower Income Group (LIG), 1,408 units for the Middle Income Group (MIG), and 229 units for the Higher Income Group (HIG).

The Mhada residences are situated throughout Kannamwar Nagar in Vikhroli, Patra Chawl in Siddharth Nagar Goregaon, Old Magathane in Borivli, Gorai Borivli, Subhash Nagar in Chembur, Gandhi Nagar in Bandra, Pant Nagar in Ghatkopar, Girgaon, Wadala, Kopri in Powai, Mazgaon, Tunga in Powai, Lokmanya Nagar in Dadar, Pahadi Goregaon, and Antop Hill Wadala.

The lottery selection is set to take place at 11:00 am on May 15.

Last Date To Apply For Mhada Flats
The final date for submitting online applications is April 29. The online acceptance of earnest money will conclude on April 30. Payments for earnest money via RTGS/NEFT can be made until banking hours on April 30.
Provisional List Of Mhada Flats Applicants
The provisional list of applications received is set to be released on May 5. The last date for submitting online claims and objections subsequent to the publication of the provisional list is May 8.
The definitive list of approved applications for the lottery will be published on May 12, prior to the lottery event on May 15.

All About Flats
This lottery includes 1,762 homes currently being constructed by the Mumbai Board; 371 flats acquired by MHADA as housing stock through developers involved in redevelopment projects under DCR (Development Control Regulation) 33(5); 188 units received as housing stock from developers engaged in redevelopment endeavours under DCR 33(7), alongside 319 scattered apartments sourced from redevelopment projects under DCRs 33(5), 33(7), and 58 that remained unoccupied for various reasons in past lotteries.
Mandatory Requirement For Mhada Flats
Applicants must possess a mobile number linked to their Aadhaar and an email ID for registration and form submission. To register and ensure eligibility, applicants need an Aadhaar card, PAN card, Maharashtra domicile certificate, and proof of income.
