As summer approaches, India will experience warm days as the year progresses. According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), several cities in Maharashtra are likely to have hot and humid conditions over the next few days, while isolated pockets in Mumbai, Thane and Palghar are expected to continue to experience stable coastal weather till Thursday morning.

Moderate winds at 8.67 km/h may keep temperatures relatively stable, with a minimum of 28°C to a maximum of 31°C. These conditions are typical for coastal regions during the transition from spring to summer, with humidity levels gradually rising.

The IMD bulletin has issued yellow alert fot rainfall and thunderstorms till Thursday, 26 March, after which dry weather is likely to  prevail in different parts of the state for the coming days. The shift in weather patterns is expected to bring temporary relief from rising temperatures before the onset of prolonged summer heat.

Forecast for other parts of Maharashtra

Nagpur and Amravati are likely to witness rainfall and thunderstorm activity on March 28 and 29, with a "very likely" probability, along with a yellow warning. These developments indicate possible localized disruptions due to sudden weather changes.

Pune and Nashik are likely witness light rain with thunderstorms. The Ghats of Kolhapur and Solapur should expect thunderstorms accompanied by light to moderate rainfall with gusty winds.

A yellow warning has been issued for Wednesday and Thursday in Thane, Latur, Kolhapur and Solapur due to thunderstorms and rainfall, along with winds of 40-50 kmph.
