An aircraft carrying Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and four others, including two crew members, crash‑landed at Baramati airport on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of everyone on board, a senior DGCA official confirmed. A team from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has been dispatched to the site for further investigation.
According to the aviation regulator, the Learjet 45 was carrying five individuals at the time of the accident — Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, his personal security officer, an attendant, and the two crew members, comprising the pilot‑in‑command and the first officer.
