The largest cryptocurrency exchange has said that it will restart phase 1 of withdrawals on Sunday after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) linked the theft to North Korea.

Binance says it has used company funds to replenish 90% of the stolen tokens and expects to restore withdrawals on Sunday.

Among regional indices, Japan's Nikkei 225 fell nearly 3%, while the broader Topix index edged 1.4% lower. South Korea's Kospi plunged 4.8%. In contrast, New Zealand's NZX 50 rose 0.11%, while Australia's ASX 200 gained 0.54%.
