The Nifty 50 closed 13.15 points, or 0.05%, higher at 24,583.80, while the Sensex gained 43.27 points, or 0.06%, to 78,542.44.

The Nifty 50 traded 65.35 points, or 0.27%, lower at 24,570.65 and The Sensex declined 455.59 points, or 0.58%, to 78,499.17.

The Sensex closed 373.76 points, or 0.48%, higher at 78,954.76. The Nifty 50 ended 11.35 points, or 0.05%, higher at 24,636.

The Nifty 50 closed 9.75 points, or 0.04%, higher at 24,624.65. The Sensex gained 152.05 points, or 0.19%, to settle at 78,581.

The Nifty 50 fell 159.40 points, or 0.64%, to close at 24,614.90. The Sensex declined 210.08 points, or 0.27%, to end at 78,428.95.

Sectorally, FMCG and IT stocks were the top contributors to the market's gains. On the flip side, Nifty Media and Nifty Healthcare were among the worst-performing sectoral indices, ending the session in the red.

At the last count, the BSE Sensex was up 304 points, or 0.4%, at 78,236, while the NSE Nifty50 gained 99.85 points, or 0.41%, to trade at 24,417.00.

Nifty IT rose 1.68%, while Auto gained 0.47% and Pharma advanced 0.37%. Nifty Realty fell 0.83%, followed by PSU Bank down 0.49% and Bank lower by 0.47%.

Indian equity benchmarks, the Sensex and Nifty 50, ended Wednesday's session on a strong note, led by gains in IT and metal stocks.
